This was a midweek 2 night stay. We both thought the hotel was excellent, especially the staff. Very attentive without being intrusive. Complimentary glass of champagne on arrival, excellent breakfast, wonderful spa and a good choice of eateries, from fine dining to pub grub and the Sands grill. Ease of parking.
The bathroom was very poor for this standard of hotel. The bath was so deep that it was really difficult to climb in and out to have a shower, and it wasn't very powerful.
The staff is outstanding and the service always top notch. The breakfast included with the room is amazing and we enjoyed it every morning while watching the first golfers tee off. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back many times in the future.
There's very little to complain about. Its a top luxury hotel and it lives up to its reputation. It's expensive, but in this case you get what you pay for.
Without doubt this was the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The staff, without exception , were very welcoming and very helpful throughout our stay. The hotel was very quiet in the night so everyone could get a good nights sleep and the levels of comfort were exceptional. We would certainly recommend The Old Course Hotel!
i liked the service which was second to none, also the generous gift they gave my wife as it was her 50th birthday.also the view over the famous links was awsome.
The very pleasant surroundings, courteous staff and supurb location to town, beach, spa and golf facilities.
Sumed up in one word - class
a very good place to stay, perfect rooms, great service and good kitchen
This is a truly wonderful hotel; the level of service is second to none in my opinion, and starts prior to your arrival with a courtesy call; asking the reason for your visit, if they can help with spa or golf reservations etc. Then from the minute you arrive and park your car the staff could not be more attentive, at check-in you are treated to a glass of sparkling wine before being personally escorted to your room by the reception staff, where the bags you left with the concierge have magically arrived before you. Our stay was for our wedding anniversary, which was mentioned during the courtesy call, and while getting ready for dinner on our first night received a call asking if we would like complimentary Champagne and canapés, when these arrived they were accompanied by an anniversary card from the hotel management team! As for the rest of the hotel, spa luxurious, treatments fantastic (according to my wife), breakfasts are sumptuous, Road Hole bar welcoming and what a view!
Warm welcome on arrival. Phone call a couple of days before was a very good idea - another friendly voice adding to the anticipation. Beautiful room and friendly staff looking after the room. The wedding went really well and the band was excellent.
The welcome on arrival was friendly and polite. The meals were first class. The 2 night stay was welcoming and relaxed.
It was like living in amovie
The entire staff was aggressively friendly and helpful; an all-around outstanding welcome.
Amazing views, amazing spa, nice atmosphere, nice bar, great breakfast selections...
a dripping sound of water in toilet, slight smell at room
The location is excellent and the service was of a very high standard. This is a quality hotel, which naturally you have to pay a high price for. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Perfect Christmas break.....great food and service.... Loved Santa with bagpipes!!!
Would have liked carol singers on Christmas Eve !!!
